Egyptian army and police forces are continuing a joint operation against terrorists, lawbreakers and militants in North Sinai, a military spokesman said here on Monday. \"Backed by intensive air support, combat forces have continued security operations in North Sinai to hunt terrorist hotbeds and cells and to arrest gunmen and lawbreakers,\" the spokesman said in a release. The joint forces have arrested eight terrorists and serious criminals, who are involved in planting bombs and explosive devices targeting army and police vehicles in North Sinai, he added. They have also destroyed 13 terror hotbeds, four-wheel vehicles and seized seven TNT sacks, electric wires and explosives, he pointed out.
