Egypt and Pakistan discussed terrorism combat efforts during the seventh round of joint political consultations, Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Yasser Morad said Wednesday.

The deliberations, held in Cairo, tackled several regional issues of common interest, Mourad said.

The Pakistani party got Morad updated with the latest developments concerning Afghanistan.

The talks aim at strengthening bilateral ties and coordinating points of view in the multilateral international events, Mourad added.
