An Egyptian police officer shot and injured two Egyptians at the Rafah crossing on Wednesday, a security official said. Yasser Mohammad Madhi, 18, and Dawoud Awad Suleiman, 50, tried drive through the border gate in separate cars to pick up Palestinians from Gaza, an Egyptian security official told Ma\'an. They did not have permission to cross and a police officer opened fire, shooting Madhi in the back and the arm, and Suleiman in the stomach, he added. They were taken to hospital in Rafah.
