Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ashraf el Sheihy underlined the importance of cooperation between Egypt and the African countries in the various spheres. 

Egypt is keen on building bridges of cooperation with the various African countries through supporting initiatives to develop education and scientific research in the continent. 

This came during the minister's participation at the end of working sessions of the Association for the Development of Education in Africa on Thursday.

The working sessions was opened by the minister on Tuesday to prepare for the three-way meeting at the level of the African continent, which is due to be held in Marrakesh in March.
