Cairo - Arab Today
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Wednesday voiced concern over remarks made by his Italian counterpart Paolo Gentiloni on the death of Italian student Giulio Regeni in Egypt.
"I has followed up with concern statements made by the Italian foreign minister repeatedly in more than one event in the recent period," Shoukry told MENA.
"I am concerned that these remarks do not reflect common interests of both countries or the extent of cooperation offered by the Egyptian side in this case," said the top diplomat.
He added that Cairo would continue to post transparently and honestly the Italian side on the updates of the case.
