The central security sector received international and domestic praise for the high-level security performance of the Egyptian police participating in the United Nations Organization Mission in Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUC).

The Egyptian police arrived in April in Congo to participate in the MONUC to secure the Congolese capital.
