Islamic Republic of Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and Africa Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that Iran considers its relations with the Persian Gulf littoral states on the basis of all-out security. Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a press conference with in Kuwait city on Thursday. “Islamic Republic of Iran’s strategy is stability, progress and development of the region,” he added. Amir Abdollahian pointed out that Iran’s achievements are the access of all regional countries. Referring to his meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled al-Sabah on Thursday, the Iranian diplomat said that during his meeting with Kuwaiti minister the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, as well as regional developments. “During my meeting with Kuwait foreign minister, I conveyed Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi’s message of invitation to Sheikh Sabah and we also agreed on holding a joint commission with the Kuwaiti side,” Amir Abollahian added. He noted that they also discussed developments in Syria, Bahrain and Yemen. “We believe that resolving the problems of these countries will help to security and stability of the Middle East region,” the Iranian diplomat further added.
