The upcoming summit between Cuba and the Caribbean Community (Caricom) will be a good opportunity to strengthen ties, Cuban officials said Wednesday.The summit scheduled for Thursday in Port of Spain, capital of Trinidad and Tobago, are aimed at boosting investment and exploring new cooperation areas between Cuba and Caricom countries.Cuba will present different proposals of collaboration to continue its support to Caricom countries, said Huberto Rivero, Cuba\'s ambassador in Trinidad and Tobago.Heads of state and government from the 15 Caricom member countries, as well as leaders of the main Caribbean institutions are expected to attend the gathering.Caricom groups Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.
