Cuban President Raul Castro met with Peru\'s Vice President Marisol Espinoza on Thursday and both agreed to work to strengthen bilateral ties, the official daily Granma reported. \"The two leaders exchanged opinions on the state of bilateral ties and reiterated their willingness to strengthen them,\" the newspaper said. Espinoza, who arrived on Monday for a four-day visit, was accompanied by a high-level delegation including senior officials from the ministries of education, health, culture and sports. Cuba and Peru have voiced their willingness to provide \"a new impulse to bilateral relations\" since Peruvian left-wing President Ollanta Humala took office in late July.
