Costa Rica and Chile agreed to sign a 2012-2013 Bilateral Cooperation Program during the 3rd Technical Cooperation Joint Commission Meeting, the Costa Rican Foreign Ministry said Friday.\"This program\'s priorities are the citizen security issue and the initiatives on environment, social welfare, competitiveness, state innovation and modernization,\" the ministry said in a statement released on its website.According to the program, Costa Rica will support Chile with vigilance programs on wild fauna, exotic diseases and the eradication of brucellosis and bovine tuberculosis, as well as environmental issues and investment models.Security projects include initiatives to strengthen communal security, training in combating organized crime and the improvement of prosecution capacities.During the joint commission meeting, evaluation and monitoring mechanisms were also established by both countries to review the projects.
