China has urged the international community to redouble efforts to promote the resumption of Palestinian-Israeli negotiations as soon as possible. Spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hong Lee said in a statement today that China understands, respects and supports the Palestinian side application to UN requesting the establishment of an independent state and at the same time appeals to the international community and at the same time appeals to the international community to push forward resumption of peace negotiations between Palestinian and Israeli sides as soon as possible.(
