A car bomb went off Sunday in Syria\'s northern province of Qamishly, leaving an unknown number of casualties, local media said. The blast reportedly targeted a checkpoint in Himo town controlled by Kurdish militants who are opposed to the al-Qaida- linked Nusra Front, one of rebel factions in Syria. The report did not give details on casualties. Meanwhile, a Syrian journalist was killed on Sunday in a blast in the northern province of Idlib.
