A car bomb was detonated in a suburb of Syria\'s capital Damascus Friday while \"terrorists\" were booby-trapping it, the state-run SANA news agency reported. The blast in the northwestern suburb of Wadi Barada killed the \"terrorists,\" who were booby-trapping the car, and also killed innocent civilians, SANA said, spelling no further details. Meanwhile, the pro-government Sham FM radio said the blast in Wadi Barada had been caused by two explosive-laden vehicles. It said the two cars were detonated near a mosque at a marketplace in Wadi Barada, adding that the initial estimates refer to the presence of casualties among civilians. On the opposition side, activists said the blast left dozens of people killed, adding that another explosive-laden vehicle was dismantled near another mosque in al-Hameh suburb.
