British envoy to Sudan and South Sudan Matthew Cannell discussed with Chairman of the Darfur Follow-up Office Amin Hassan Omar an exit strategy of the hybrid peacekeeping mission in Darfur (UNAMID), in addition to means of achieving peace in Darfur states now that the administrative referendum is over.

The Sudanese government briefed Cannell on possible solutions in Darfur following the success of the administrative referendum, he was quoted as saying by Sudanese El Shorouk channel. 

The British envoy also affirmed his country's pledge to render successful peace on Marrah Mountains in Darfur.
