The Bolivia-Iran Parliamentary Friendship Group condemned the United States\' recent allegations about Iran\'s involvement in a terror plot, and underlined its solidarity with the Iranian nation. \"The unfounded and false accusations of the US administration against the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the accusation that Iran had plotted to kill the Saudi ambassador to Washington are unacceptable and baseless,\" the Bolivian legislators said in a statement on Saturday. They stressed that Washington\'s plot has been hatched to divert the public opinion from the United States\' numerous economic and social problems and the protests and uprisings of the American people against neo-liberalism since the White House is still eager to continue its capitalist policies. The statement also deplored the US accusations against Iran as a move aimed at spreading an inimical atmosphere over the world in a bid to destabilize global peace and security to attain its goals and interests. On October 11, the US alleged that Iran had attempted to hire a Mexican drug gang to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington, Adel Al-Jubeir. Two men have been charged in the New York federal court in connection with the alleged plot. Manssor Arbabsiar is a 56-year-old naturalized US citizen. In May 2011, the US criminal complaint says, he approached someone he believed to be a member of the vicious Mexican drug cartel, Los Zetas, for help with an attack on the Saudi Ambassador to Washington Adel al-Jubeir. The man he approached turned out to be an informant for US drug agents, it says. The US administration charges that Arbabsiar had been told by his cousin Abdul Reza Shahlai to recruit a drug trafficker for a hitman job. Tehran has repeatedly rejected the accusation as \"baseless\" and \"a fabricated scenario\". In response, Iran\'s top security official Saeed Jalili on Friday released a number of documents detailing US involvement in acts of terror against the Islamic Republic. Secretary of Iran\'s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili made the revelations on US terror moves against Iran during a ceremony marking the takeover anniversary of the US embassy in Tehran by Iranian students in 1979. The revelations came two days after Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei described the US as the great terrorist in the world. We possess one hundred pieces of irrefutable evidence that reveal the US role in directing terrorists for conducting acts of terror in Iran and the region, said Ayatollah Khamenei in an address to thousands of Iranian students on Wednesday. Ayatollah Khamenei added that Iran will bring shame to the US, advocates of terrorism and the so-called defenders of human rights through the publication of the evidence.
