Bardo - TAP
President of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) Mustapha Ben Jaafar declined on Friday the request of some parliamentary groups to cancel the decision providing for the suspension of the Assembly\'s works and resume them on Monday. Ben Jaafar deemed \"impossible\" to resume works on Monday, Noura Ben Hassen, member of the \'parliamentary delegation for the protection of the transition process\' representing the Congress for the Republic (CPR) told TAP at the end a meeting with the NCA President. Ben Jaafar affirmed that he will carry on efforts to reach a consensus, as part of a national dialogue meant to resolve the political crisis, before making a relevant decision by the end of next week. The NCA President is convinced that a consensual initiative is possible by midweek, Ben Hassen added. Ben Jaafar said to be ready to \"take the positive and negative consequences of his decision,\" underlining that the NCA could get its works underway only in a consensual political climate, member of the delegation representing \"Wafa\" movement Ali Houiji indicated. Some parliamentary groups, including Ennahdha\'s, requested Ben Jaafar to resume works of the NCA on Monday, describing his decision as \"unlawful.\"
