Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders lauded the efforts by outgoing Kuwaiti Ambassador to Belgium, the EU, and Luxembourg Nabeela Al-Mullah, saying that it was an honour to have worked with the Kuwaiti diplomat. This came at reception to bid farewell for the Kuwaiti diplomat hosted by Ambassador of the GCC to Brussels Amal Al-Hamad on Monday evening. The event was attended Minister Reynders in addition to Arab, Belgian, and foreign diplomats as well as officials. Addressing the gathering, Reynders thanked all the GCC Ambassadors for organising the reception to honour the outgoing Kuwaiti ambassador. \"For the last two years as foreign minister it has been a pleasure to work with Nabeela,\" he said. \"I also want to thank you in your capacity for six years to be not only in touch with the officials and colleagues but with the population in Belgium and also taking part in cultural activities,\" he noted. Reynders declared that it was a pleasure for Belgian King Philippe to meet Al-Mulla last Friday, saying the meeting was \"very fruitful.\" On her part, GCC Ambassador Al-Hamad said \"Nabeela has been with us for six years during which she spared no effort in representing her country in the best possible way. her dedication to serve Kuwait and the GCC, combined with her outstanding grasp and keen analysis of the issues we share, have made her a remarkable ambassador with her distinguished presence and her charismatic discourse.\" Kuwaiti Ambassador Al-Mulla expressed her pleasure over her stay in Belgium. Al-Mulla said she was deeply honoured for having met with King Philippe noting that she was the first ambassador to bid goodbye to the Belgian King. \"I feel very proud of my country and proud for all the trust that His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad had in me to appoint me as ambassador to interesting posts that took me to South Africa, Vienna, New York and Brussels,\" she added. Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) separately, Saudi, Emirates, Bahraini, Qatari, and Austrian Ambassadors to Belgium, Faisal Trad Sulaiman Hamid Al-Mazroui, Ahmed Al-Doseri, Ali Bin Jassim Al-Thani, and Dr. Karl Schramek respectively, lauded the efforts by the Kuwaiti Ambassador, wishing her the best on her future endeavors.
