China's Ministry of National Defense (MND) responded on Friday to the media reports that China had deployed a large number of troops recently to its border with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) saying that “the relevant reports are inconsistent with the facts”.

On its official website, it added that "the Chinese military maintains normal combat readiness and training state along China's border with the DPRK.”
