Austrian Authorities Arrest Suspect Over Plotting Attack in Vienna

Austrian police have issued a public warning for people to be careful while going to crowded places and to inform police if they see any suspicious objects.

Police also increased the number of officers on the street following the arrest of a man suspected of planning a bomb attack in Vienna.

Austrian authorities said they arrested an 18-year-old man for plotting the attack.

Foreign agencies had alerted Austrian authorities about a planned terror strike.

The suspect, who traveled to Austria on Friday, was monitored and arrested in an apartment in Vienna by the country's anti-terror unit Cobra on Friday afternoon.
