Caretaker President of the Republic Mohamed Moncef Marzouki inaugurated on Thursday in the locality of Kalaat Saber in Remada, an advanced border control centre of the saharan territorial group (GTS), stemming from the national army. He enquired about the components of the establishment, specialised in the protection of the border over this key zone of the territory, located in the southern border with Algeria and Libya. Interim President of the Republic commended the military personnel assigned in this centre for Eid El Fitr, lauding their loyalty and their abnegation towards the homeland. Besides, the Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces tackled the different measures to be taken for the benefit of the army members, concerning social security coverage and the risk premium, in addition to the necessary logistic support to help the army accomplish its mission in optimum conditions.   In the Remada military barrack, Marzouki commended the efforts of the Tunisian soldiers in the protection of the borders against terrorism and smuggling, highlighting the role of the army in achieving success of the transition process.   During his visit in Remada, Caretaker President of the Republic was accompanied by National Defence Minister Rachid Sabbegh and Chief-of-Staff of the land army Mohamed Salah Hamdi.
