Another NATO soldier was shot dead in an insider attack in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday, coalition security forces announced said. NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) following a statement confirmed the report and said, \"An International Security Assistance Force service member died when an individual wearing an Afghan National Security Force uniform shot at ISAF service members in eastern Afghanistan today.\" The statement, carried by online newspaper Khaama further added, \"The scene of the incident is secure and the suspected gunman has been killed. ISAF and Afghan officials are assessing the incident and more information will be released as appropriate.\" The exact location of the incident and nationality of the deceased soldier was not disclosed in the ISAF statement. International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) generally do not disclose identities of the NaTO soldiers killed in Afghanistan saying, \"It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities.\" This comes as three International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service members died when an individual wearing an Afghan National Security Forces uniform shot them in eastern Afghanistan earlier this week. No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident, but similar \"insider\" attacks have been used the Taliban as a way of getting close to foreign targets.
