Tehran - Fna
Former Secretary-General of the Arab League Amr Moussa stressed the importance and necessity of direct talks between Iran and Egypt, and said Iran is a country which makes sincere efforts to resolve problems in Arab states more than others. \"It is highly important that the two sides (Tehran and Cairo) sit to the negotiating table and resume their bilateral relations,\" Amr Moussa told FNA on Monday. He hailed Iran for its efforts to solve problems in the Arab countries, and said the country plays an effective role in international relations and in the Arab world. Moussa had also earlier called for comprehensive talks between Iran and the Arab countries, stressing that these negotiations will serve the interests of both sides. \"Iran and Arabs share common interests on which they should make the necessary coordination,\" Moussa told FNA in June, stressing his strong call on the Arab countries to reinvigorate their relations with Tehran. \"There is no doubt that Iran is a brotherly, neighboring and important country in the region and I have always called for holding talks with Iran,\" he added.
