Representatives Council Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani underlined the MPs\' resolve to continue their national role, constitutional missions and historic responsibilities to serve the nation and citizens through monitoring and legislation.
He said the council is getting ready to start the fourth session of the third legislative term which will be opened by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa soon.
He was speaking as he chaired today the council\'s bureau meeting which was attended by First Deputy Speaker Abdullah bin Khalaf Al Dussari, Second Deputy Speaker Shaikh Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Ma\'awda, MPs Ali Al-Atish (Head of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee), Latifa Al Qo\'oud (Head of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee), Abdulrahman Bumjid (Head of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee), Abbas Madhi (Head of the Services Committee), Hassan Al Dussari (Head of the Public Utilities and Environment Committee), Acting Secretary General Jamal Zewid, Legal Advisor Dr. Ali Abdul Fattah and Presidency Affairs Director Samir Al Fayez.
He stressed that the Representatives Council will bring about more achievements for the nation through the constitutional and civilizational institutions in order to further boost national unity and promote the state of law and institutions.
He underscored fruitful cooperation with the government led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, commending the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, and distinguished parliamentary coordination with the Shura Council.
