The Libyan people gave the Sudanese people "the biggest gift" by overthrowing Gaddafi, Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir said Saturday during his visit to Libya. Bashir was addressing non-governmental organizations and Libyan revolutionaries today as part of his visit to Libya. He said that the sacrifices the Sudanese people made to their country cannot be compared to those made by the revolutionaries to Sudan. He said that Sudan was struggling from Gaddafi''s regime. Particularly because Gaddafi backed armed rebel groups in Sudan, Al Bashir said. He hailed the Libyan rebels for overthrowing the fallen Libyan leader, describing the revolution''s success by all measures. He maintained however that the success must be built on by establishing new institutions for the state that the people can elect freely. Al Bashir expressed his confidence that the Libyan people will overcome all challenges that face them, and come out united in support of the Arab and Islamic world. The Sudanese President said that Sudan is willing to provide all help necessary to the Libyan people. He also expressed his satisfaction with the current bilateral relations.
