Al-Rahma International Charity, off-shoot of Social Reform Society and a Kuwait-based non-government fundraising agency, announced on Tuesday that it has provided aid in-kind and cash worth USD 144, 500 for Syrian families in Jordan. The agency\'s delegation provided, during the 82 and 83 relief campaigns, financial and food aid for around 3,985 Syrian families, as well as 50 injured Syrians, head of the delegation Dr. Waleed Al-Anjari stated to KUNA. In the 82 relief campaign, Al-Rahma extended aid worth USD 94,500, presented by Kuwaiti benefactors, to around 2,287 families. Al-Anjari added each family was awarded USD 140 and a food basket. He also indicated that in the 83 relief campaign, the charity extended USD 50,000 worth of aid, presented by Kuwait\'s Hayat voluntary team to the benefit of around 1,698 Syrian families and 50 injured Syrians who live in a number of areas in the Jordanian capital. He added this batch also consisted of USD 70 and a food basket for each family. The figure stressed the importance of Kuwaiti charitable efforts, which started early on after the spark of the Syrian crisis and continues with the aim of alleviating the suffering of the Syrian refugees. Al-Anjari lauded the Kuwaiti people\'s eagerness to lend a hand in support of those in need in friendly states and across the world.
