The European popular party group (EPP) has invited seventeen Moroccan MPs to the European Parliament hailing from six different Moroccan political parties and two Moroccan Non-governmental Organisations, in a first-of-the-kind open political dialogue between the EPP and Moroccan political forces, irrespective of their ideology and ideas. \"We want to continue a serious political dialogue with the neighboring countries. This is the novelty and the originality of the initiative, because, in fact it has never happened before. The success of previous meetings shows that we are on track. Social, political and economic developments in neighboring countries are interesting topics to us which we intend to analyze and discuss with the people directly involved.\" said Vito Bonsignore MEP, Vice-Chairman of the EPP Group. Discussions will review the social, economic and cultural challenges facing Morocco today, possibilities of EU cooperation with Morocco on renewal energy, migration, poverty, education and women participation in society. Political and economic reforms currently underway in Morocco will be theme of a one-day meeting.
