Five al-Qaeda suspects appeared behind bars at a state security court in Sanaa Wednesday to face charges of planning attacks for the terrorist group. In the prosecution\'s charges statement, the five men were accused of \"participating in a criminal agreement with an armed gang affiliated to the terrorist al-Qaeda network to carry out criminal acts targeting police and army personnel in the Republic of Yemen.\" The five defendandts are: Abdulrahman Mohamed Abdulrahman al-Shihri, Aadel Saleh Salim al-Saiaari, Mohamed Saleh Saeed al-Saiaari, Aadel Badi Ujail al-Utaibi and Ali Saeed Omar al-Saiari. The court\'s chief judge Helal Mahfal adjourned the case until September 11 to allow the defendants prepare their pleas.
