At least 30 Taliban militants were killed and 12 others were injured in joint operations launched by Afghan forces and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) during the past twenty-four hours in different regions of the country. Afghanistan\'s Interior Ministry said in a statement today that Afghan forces carried out with ISAF several joint operations in different regions of the country, killing 30 Taliban militants, wounding 12 others and arresting eight others. The statement added that the operations took place in a number of Afghan provinces. The security forces seized large quantities of heavy and light weapons. However, the statement did not say if there were any casualties on the security forces.
