Three soldiers were injured in the ongoing clashes in north Lebanon, the Lebanese army said in a statement this evening . The statement added that in response to the fighting between gunmen in the northern towns of Bab Al-Tabbana and Jabal Mohsen, the military forces started a crackdown on sources of gunfire. The large-scale military campaign led to the arrest of several suspected gunmen and the confiscation of a quantity of arms and munitions, the statement said. The campaign will continue until the situation is brought back to normal in cooperation with active players in the region, it said noting that the situation in Tripoli is now calm.
