Afghan police backed by the national army have killed over two dozen Taliban fighters over the past 24 hours, Interior Ministry said in a statement released in Kabul on Monday. \"Units of national police backed by the national army and the NATO-led coalition force have killed 25 Taliban rebels across the country over the past 24 hours,\" the statement asserted. According to the statement, 43 more militants have been captured. However, it did not say if there were any casualties on the security personnel. Taliban militants fighting the government are yet to make comment.
