The Tunis Administrative Court's plenary assembly issued, on Wednesday, 22 verdicts on the appeals made on the preliminary results of the October 23 National Constituent Assembly (NCA) elections. The Administrative Court has examined so far 61 appeal requests out of the total of 104 submitted to it as the only authority entitled to look into such complaints. Decision of the Court will be rendered at a date not exceeding next November 8. Judge Riadh Rekik, from the Administrative Court, did not detail the contents of the verdicts, nor their impact on the distribution of seats in the Constituent Assembly. Article 72 of the decree-law n°35, dated May 10, 2011 and amended on August 3, 2011, provides for the possibility to file an appeal request on the preliminary election results to the plenary assembly of the Administrative Court in a deadline not exceeding ten days. The deadline for that appeal was last Saturday at 7 p.m.
