Two police officers were shot and injured while responding to a domestic violence call Thursday in Trenton, N.J., Thursday morning. The incident happened about 9 a.m. at a home in Trenton, WPVI-TV, Philadelphia, reported. When the officers approached the home, a suspect fired at them. The Mercer County Prosecutor\'s Office said one officer was shot in the shoulder while the other was shot in the back. The officers returned fire and the suspect was shot and killed, the prosecutor\'s office said. Both of the officers were taken to a local hospital for treatment, officials said. They were reported awake and alert as they were being taken from the scene.
