One man was killed on site and a police officer later died of injuries sustained from a hand grenade thrown during a family dispute Sunday in Serbia. The incident took place in Ledinici, near the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad, reported the Serbian news agency Tanjug. Police arrived on the scene after a report of domestic violence at the home. The father of the perpetrator was killed in the blast while an intervening police officer later died of life-threatening injuries. The man allegedly responsible for detonating the grenade was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries along with a second police officer. The incident began after the sister of the perpetrator called police to report that the unnamed young man was harassing their parents.
