Sanaa - Ali Rabea
Two Yemeni soldiers were killed, and an officer wounded, in an unsolved incident inside a northern military camp on Wednesday. The incident occurred in the 29th Brigade’s Mika base in Amran province when soldiers fired shots into the air, an alleged expression of celebration after they forced their brigade commander Hafz Allah al-Sadmi, whom soldiers have accused of corruption, to leave the camp. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility that the men were targeted by soldiers loyal to al-Sadmi. It has been less than one year since Brigadier Sadmi was appointed head of the 29th Brigade, known as “The Giants\" because it is one of the Yemeni army’s most formidable forces.
