Two 107 mm Grad rockets poised for launch towards Israel were defused on Monday by the Lebanese army. Investigations by Arabstoday in to what happened in the disputed Shebaa area on the Israeli Lebanese border indicate that rockets were rigged with timers and likely would have been launched that afternoon. Villagers discovered the rocket launcher and informed the army which was rushed to disarm it. In a statement on Monday evening the army said: “In light of the intensive security measures put in place all over Lebanese lands, especially on the south borders, an army patrol discovered on Monday noon two rockets ready to be launched between the villages of Halta and Mari.”
