Amman - Osama al-Rantissi
The Jordanian Salafi-Jihadist movement on Satuday held a mourning ceremony in Amman to honour the memory of young Jordanian Montasser al-Beiruti, who was killed a few days ago by Assad's forces as he went to fight with the Free Syrian Army.
The movement's leader, Sheikh Abu Mohammed Attahawi said in his speech that Jordan's Jihadist will be part of Jihad in every place where Muslim blood is shed.
He lashed out at the Syrian regime, the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah and Iran as being the "biggest supporters of Israel".
"There is a common interest between the United States along with its allies, and Syria along with its allies. This common interest is to keep the Syrian regime in power because this regime is the main guarantee of Israel's security" he said.
"The Syrian regime was the one who paved the way for [former Israeli Prime Minister] Ariel Sharon to invade Beirut in 1982, while this regime has always prevented the Mujahedin [Islamist fighters] from reaching Palestine to fight against Israel" he concluded.
