Israeli forces opened fire on a group of Palestinians in Gaza on Sunday, lightly injuring one man, a Gaza medical official said. Dr Ashraf al-Qidra said that soldiers opened fire on a group of farmers in Khan Younis, south Gaza. One man received light head injuries in the incident and was taken to the European hospital in Khan Younis, al-Qidra said. The incident comes after Anwar Abdul Hadi Qudaih, 20, was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on Friday near the southern Gaza border, with Hamas\' spokesman accusing Israel of breaking Wednesday\'s ceasefire deal to end eight days of violence. \"We will contact the Egyptian mediator to discuss the incident,\" Sami Abu Zuhri said at the time. A relative of the dead man, who was at the scene, said that Qudaih had been trying to place a Hamas flag on the fence. He added that an Israeli soldier had fired into the air three times before Qdeih was shot in the head. The day before, Israeli forces shot and injured Haitham Abu Daqqa, 23, who had approached the fence with a group of people carrying flags and celebrating the end of the conflict. Wednesday\'s ceasefire deal ended eight days of fierce fighting that left 170 Palestinians and six Israelis dead.
