Israeli forces have allegedly crossed barbed wire borders in Wazzani, just north of the Israel-Lebanon border. The Lebanese army and UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) have been put on alert in case of an emergency after an infantry advanced to an area patrolled by the Lebanese army.
A report by UNIFIL and the Lebanese army claimed that: \"An Israeli infantry unit of 11 members passed the barbed wire at 8am in the highlands of Wazzani located on the edge of the hills of Kfar Shuba and Shebaa occupied by Israeli forces near the border triangle of Lebanon - Syrian – Israel.They advanced 10-15 metres north of the wire until reaching an area under the supervision of the Lebanese army.”
