A Palestinian was killed and another wounded by Israeli fire near Jabaliya refugee camp east of the northern Gaza Strip on Friday evening. Medics said that the body of the Anwar Mohammed Almamluk, 22, and that of the wounded were transferred to Kamal Adwan hospital. Dr Ashraf Al-Kudra, spokesman for the ministry of health, confirmed reports of the killing of one citizen and the wounding another, describing his condition as serious. Eyewitnesses confirmed that Israeli occupation forces stationed on the border east of Jabaliya opened fire with machine guns in the direction of a group of farmers trying to reach the land near the cemetery east of Jabaliya. The Israeli occupation forces are thought to be deliberately firing on farmers trying to reach their land near the border in the north and east of the area. This is in breach of the ceasefire, which was signed on 21 November last year between the Palestinian factions and Israel under Egyptian auspices.
