Amman – Osama al-Rantissi
Iranian ambassador to Jordan Mustafa Mosleh Zada has claimed that Iran is ready to supply Jordan's oil needs for the next 30 years.
In an interview given to Jordanian TV, Zada said that Jordan is willing to help Iran solve its financial crisis in a bilateral deal which will see Iran buy Jordan-made goods.
Both countries suspended the signing of a joint economic agreement because Jordanian officials felt that Iran aims to include Jordan among "a Persian Empire" in the Middle East. "These are western allegations aimed at causing rifts among Muslim nations. Thus, they would be able to impose their control on our region," Zada explained.
There has been no official comment from the Jordanian government on Zada's offer.
