Egypt’s government has announced that Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi will conduct a short visit to Berlin.
A number of Egyptian officials will accompany the Egyptian President during his visit, including Egyptian ministers of foreign affairs, industry, international cooperation and assistant president for foreign affairs.
Spokesperson for Mohammed Morsi, Yasser Ali said in a press conference that the President will meet the German Chancellor Angela Merkil and speaker of the EU Parliament. He added that he will also attend the Egyptian-German business forum to meet with 280 businessmen.
The Egyptian official said that the President will leave Germany on Wednesday morning to return to Cairo, adding that he will not visit France.
Morsi also met with his interior ministry in the Egyptian Presidential Palace and a number of his assistants to discuss the recent security developments following recent violence in the country. The security officials submitted their reports to the Egyptian President during their meeting.
