Security forces in Egypt’s North Sinai have deported three Eritrean migrants, after sending the men to Cairo airport. The three immigrants had fled Eritrea and were trying to illegally infiltrate Egyptian territory without residency papers, sources said. Eritrea is governed by a repressive administration, which requires all citizens under 50 to serve in the country’s military indefinitely. The north-east African state is also mired in a ever-deepening economic crisis.
