Algiers - Hocine Bousaleh
An official source from the state of Illizi, east of Algeria, said that the brother of an al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb leader has won the local elections in the region.
Ali Ghadir - the brother of Abdul-Hamid Abu Zaid, a leader from the group and the most wanted person in the Sahara region for terrorism related charges – won the presidency of the Aldbdab town in Algeria on November 29.
The source added that this was not the first time he had won, as he was previously the leader for the same region between 2007 -2012.
