Cairo – Akram Ali
The April 6 Youth Movement (The Democratic Front) denounced the letter of President Mohammed Morsi which was sent to the Israeli President Shimon Perez.
The movement confirmed its refusal for the tone of the letter to the President Israel, stressing that this entity should not be recognised. It called to reconsider the Camp David agreement and its articles should be submitted to a referendum, asserting that it will fight for the liberation of the Egyptian will from dependency.
The movement said in a press statement, Arabstoday received a copy of it: “If we consider the letter as a protocol, it is better to change the friendly tone with the enemy who killed our children in Bahr el Baqar School.”
The movement explained: “After the media published the appointment letter of Egypt's ambassador to Israel, and after the naive justifications issued by the presidency to clarify that this letter is fake, and to assure that the President cannot agree on such humiliating tone in the letter - it was then proved that the letter was not fake.”
The movement wondered: "What is the motive behind send such letter to an enemy who sheds blood in this country and killed many people who paid their lives to liberate their land. This enemy still storms and desecrates Al Aqsa Mosque on Friday. President Morsi is Mubarak’s successor and practices the same disgraceful actions. This letter won’t be forgotten by the Revolutionary generation.”
President Mohammed Morsi sent a letter to his Israeli counterpart, Shimon Perez, to appoint the Egyptian ambassador in Tel Aviv. He described Perez in the letter as loyal friend which frustrated the Egyptian people.
