Algeria\'s Interior Minister, Dahou Ould Kablia, announced the inauguration of 1,300 local councils in a public hearing at the National People’s Assembly on Wednesday evening. Dahou added that municipal councils across Algeria’s 48 states will be inaugurated this weekend. Election procedures for councils will be governed by Article 80 of the Organic Law. The Minister assured that the new amendments would not cause any blockage within municipal councils where legal remedies are available.
