Militants have bombed a freshly-repaired gas pipeline in Yemen on Tuesday night, after it was destroyed a few weeks ago between Mareb and Sheba. Yemeni authorities hold al-Qaeda responsible for the attack. A very loud explosion was heard in the Masbah desert, a source told Arabstoday. The gas installation, which cost $4 billion was created to improve and facilitate Yemeni gas export. The Yemeni government spent two months negotiating with energy multinational Total to raise the price of Yemeni gas.
