Amman - Osama Al Rantissi
Seven Syrian refugees from one family died on Wednesday evening after a fire broke out in their caravan in King Abdullah Gardens, Amman. Four others, including a mother and her three children were injured after trying to control the fire, Jordanian Civil Defence media spokesman, Farid al-Shara, said.
Shara explained that the fire was a result of a spill of kerosene inside the caravan.
He added firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the rest of the camp, while medics provided the necessary aid for the injured.
King Abdullah Gardens is home to nearly 1,000 Syrian refugees residing in around 92 caravans.
