Security services in North Sinai have arrested seven African immigrants – including five Eritreans, one Sudanese and one Ethiopian whilst trying to sneak into Israel through the international border with Egypt. During a routine combing operation at the Egyptian border patrol, security officials spotted the Africans trying to cross the barbed wire that separates Egypt and Israel. The immigrants admitted in preliminary investigations that they tried to sneak into Israel in search of jobs and that they had paid a large sum to a smuggling gang to facilitate the task of infiltrating them into Israel.
