Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh returned to Bahrain, following a three-day visit to Pakistan at the invitation of his Pakistani Senate counterpart, Mian Raza Rabbani.

The visit also aims to strengthen the deep-rooted strong relations between the two friendly countries, he added.
The Shura Council delegation, led by chairman Al-Saleh, held meetings with Pakistan’s President, Mamnoon Hussain, and Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
The delegation also held talks with the Pakistani Senate chairman and members of the Bahraini-Pakistani Friendship Committee at the Senate. During the talks, the two sides reached agreement on a number of parliamentary issues.
Al-Saleh pointed out that the Pakistani President expressed pride in the friendship relations between the two countries, and welcomed efforts to increase joint cooperation in various fields, especially economy and trade exchange.
Al-Saleh also asserted that Bahrain’s plans to establish a nursing college in Islamabad has been welcomed by the Pakistani officials.
The Shura Chairman stressed the importance of continuous exchanged visits between the two countries’ senior officials to build on the progress made following His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Kahlifa’s successful visit to Pakistan in 2014, noting that the royal visit played a major role in boosting bilateral relations and cooperation.
