Sherry Carlin was sworn in as Mission Director for Egypt for the US Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID Acting Administrator Alfonso Lenhardt administered the oath of office.
“Sherry’s leadership and experience managing USAID programs around the world make her a key asset to lead one of our most important missions in the region,” said Paige Alexander, USAID Assistant Administrator for the Middle East in a press release.
She added, “Her deep knowledge of the Middle East region is critical as we continue our long-standing commitment to the Egyptian people".
